It means the world is like 1 big stage where people perform, and people are just characters and are part of 1 big play called "Life". When you go through your life, such as from Infancy to Childhood, those are all acts to the play. As children grow and mature, they go through different stages of life as if you are in a play, and each phase is an act in the play. And our last act is our death. I agree because technically, everyone does something and any event that happens can be turned into a play, so all the world is a play.
